Ahmed invests $4000 in two different accounts. The first account paid 10 %, the second account paid 9% in

interest. At the end of the first year he had earned $370 in interest. How much was in each account?

Answer: 3000$ in 9% account

Step-by-step explanation: sums in accounts are x and (4000-x)

Interests are 0.09x and 0.10(4000-x) = 400-0.1x

Now you get 0.09x -0.1x + 400 = 370

Then -0.01x = -30 and x= 3000
