If

`g(x) = \begin{cases} -x + 4 & \text{if } x \le -1 \\ 3 & \text{if } -1<x <2 \\ 2x-5 & \text{if } x\ge2\end{cases}`

then by this definition,

g(0) = 3 … … … (since -1 < 0 < 2)

and

g(1) = 3 … … … (also because -1 < 1 < 2)
