pottery is more of something made and a fossil is something that’s already converting into a solid that happens naturally unlike pottery.

Answer:

A piece of pottery is deemed NOT a fossil because fossils are the remnants of a once living thing,a piece of pottery is a historic item,a relitivitely old item.
