If a 1.2-inch long grasshopper

can jump 5 feet, how far can a
1.5-inch long grasshopper jump,
assuming the distance jumped is
proportional to the grasshopper's
length?

Answer:

6.25 feet

Explanation:

Don't worry this problem may look difficult but really isn't begin by plugging in both of the lengths into a fraction snd times it by 5

For instance: 5(1.5/1.2)

another thing you could do is divide 5 by 12, and whatever you recieve as the result times it times 15 and you will get the result of 6.25.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
