Explanation:

h²=o²+a²

a²=8²+5²

a²=64+25

a²=89

a=√89

a=9.433

To one decimal place it is 9.4

for b,

h²=o²+a²

17²=b²+12²

289=b²+144

289-144=b²

145=b²

b=√145

b=12.041

To one decimal place it is 12.0
