Given:

The given expression is

-4(x+2)-2x+4

To find:

The two other equivalent expressions.

Solution:

We have,

-4(x+2)-2x+4

Using distributive property, we get

=-4(x)-4(2)-2x+4

=-4x-8-2x+4

So, one equivalent expression is
-4x-8-2x+4.

On further simplification, we get

=(-4x-2x)+(-8+4)

=6x-4

Therefore, the second and fully simplified equivalent expression is
6x-4.
