Let’s make variables!
J = Jeans and T = T-shirts
J + T = 50
2T = J + 1
For first equation get T alone
T = 50 - J
2(50 - J) = J + 1
100 - 2J = J + 1
99 = 3J, J = 33
Solution: Pair of Jeans cost $33
