Ms. K. is throwing a party with her favorite foods. Tacos cost $2.50 per tray and french fries cost $1.25 per pound. Ms. K. has $20 to spend on food. Let t be the number of taco trays Ms. K. buys and f be the number of pounds of french fries she buys when she spends all her money.

Explanation:

so, for me basically, as there are two food, I can do,.20$ ÷ 2= 10$

Then, I know that 10$ is the amount of money spent of each.

TACOS- EQ.1

t*$2.50= 10$

t=10$÷2.50=4

t=4

FRENCH FRIES-EQ.2

f*$1.25= 10$

f=10$÷$1.25= 8

f=8

NOW,

t*$2.50+ f*$1.25= $20

PUT EQUATION 1.

(4)*2.50+f*1.25=$20

PUT EQUATION 2

4*2.50+ 8*1.25= $20

I really hope this helps!!
