y = -2x + 8

Slope-int. form is written as y=mx+b

m is your slope and b is you y intercept

You first will evaluate the -2(x-5) to get:

-2x + 10

Then you'll subtract 2 from each side to get the y alone:

y = -2x + 8

Answer:

y = -2x + 8

Explanation:

Solve for y

y + 2 = -2(x - 5)

y + 2 = -2x + 10

y = -2x + 8
