Do I have to put a period after a quote in the middle of a paragraph? This is what I mean:

"The sarus crane . . . should be placed on the endangered species list in order to ensure its survival.". Dr. Walters has been with WSI for 12 years; however, she has only been the director for three years.

Like, do I have to put a period after the end of the quote? Appreciate any help, thank you!

Answer:

Not twice, just inside the quotation marks.

Step-by-step explanation:
