When I read this story, I learned that sometimes you have to do things that make yourself happy, not what other people except and want from you. For example, in the story, Romeo and Juliet wanted each other, but their families were rivals and they forbade they saw each other much less date and get married. Eventually, Romeo and Juliet got married secretly because it was something that made them happy.
Another thing I learned was that you can't control people. They will make their own decisions whether or not you agree with them.
