Explanation: Since Andrew Jackson was so popular for serving in the War of 1812 and winning in the Battle Of New Orleans, many people saw Jackson as a hero, so he got elected president. I don't think that he would be that popular today because we have different technology such as tanks and airplanes to battle, not like horses or cannons they had back then.
