A baker made 5 pounds of dough. He used 4/9 of the

dough to make
sandwich rolls.
HINT: This is a multi-step problem.
Step 1: Find how much of the dough the baker used.
Step 2: Find out how much of the 5 pounds of dough is
left over.

Answer:

5 minus 4/9 = 4 and 9/9 minus 4/9 = 4 and 5/9 = 41/9

OR

5 minus 4/9 = 5/1 minus 4/9 = 45/9 minus 4/9 = 41/9 = 4 and 5/9
