What is the difference between an abyssal plain of the ocean and the plains of the continents? I need this ASAP

Abyssal plains are flat areas of the ocean floor in a water depth between 3,500 and 5,000 with a gradient well below 0.1°
while a plain of the continents is a flat expanse of land that generally does not change much in elevation.Plains are one of the major landforms on earth, where they are present on all continents, and would cover more than one-third of the world's land area.
