Explanation:

1. Distribute

3(2x+8)=0

6x+24=0

2. Subtract 24 from both sides.

6x+24=0

6x+24-24=0-24

3. Simplify

6x=-24

4. Divide both sides of the equation by the same term

6x=-24


(6x)/(6) =
(-24)/(6)

5. Simplify

x=-4

And thats the answer.
