Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Intrusive igneous rocks are formed below the earth surface at more dense pressure than extrusive igneous rocks. Since they from.below the surface, the magma cools slowly, giving the grains more time to form, this way, intrusive igneous rocks form large crystals that are coarse grained.

On the other hand, extrusive igneous rocks form at the surface, in this less dense and extremely low temperature environment, they cool rapidly producing small grain, fine textured rocks.

2.) These differences are related to where the rocks cool and solidify. In general terms, intrusive rocks cools slowly Hence forming large grained coarse textured rocks while Extrusive cools more rapidly forming small grained fine textured rocks.

Igneous processes involves the series of operations which leads to the formation of igneous rock which include the the process at which hot magma deep beneath the earth (high temperature and pressure) find its way to regions of lower temperature to form intrusive or the surface of the earth to form extrusive igneous rocks. As magma finds its way up mineral formation goes on with high temperature mineral and low temperature minerals forming at different depths.

The dominant factor which determines the grain size of igneous rock formed is the rate of cooling. When the igneous rock cools rapidly, fine grained rock size is produced, similarly when magma has enough time to cool and this cool slowly, coarse and large grained crystals are formed.
