Abbey is adopting a kitten. Abbey has a rectangular container to bring the kitten home in. The container has a volume of 3,100.5?*cubed* If the length of the container is 10.6 in and the height is 15 in, what is the width of the container? PLEASE HELP

  • Length of container = 10.6 in
  • Height of container = 15 in.

Solution:

So as we know container is in cuboidal shape.

Therefore we can find value of width using formula of volume of cuboid.

We know:-

Volume of cuboid = L × W × H

where :-

L = length of cuboid

W = width of cuboid

H = height of cuboid

So:-

⇢ Volume of cuboid = L × W × H

⇢ Volume of cuboid = 10. 6 × 15 × W

⇢ 3100.5 = 10. 6 × 15 × W


\\

⇢ 10. 6 × 15 × W = 3100.5

⇢ W = 3100.5/(10. 6 × 15 )

⇢ W = 31005/(106 × 15 )

⇢ W = 2067/(106 × 1 )
