Hopes this helps:
Answer: x < -2
1. Add 3 to both sides.
2x < -7 + 3
2. Simplify -7 + 3 to -4.
2x < -4
3. Divide both sides by 2.
X < -4/2
4. Simplify 4/2 to 2.
X < -2
