My Answer:

1. Who is/are the main character(s) of the book?

Don Quixote

2. What is the book about?

It is about a man that spends most of his days reading fiction novels indoors. He read so many of them and had so few experiences outdoors that he thinks these novels speak the truth. So one day he dresses up like a knight thinking that he is one. And he goes out on adventures as an insane man.

3. What about the story appeals to you?

It felt pretty relevant to me. I say that because one of its themes has to do with rejecting reality which would only come to harm you. I've been seeing that happen a lot nowadays, so I find it relieving to find a story that speaks about it, even if it's an old story.

4. How does this book compare to a book you have read before?

This story is very different from the story that I am reading now, there are countless things that are different between the two stories. But what I can say is that the book I am reading adjacent to this one is just a straight-up fiction novel. It doesn't talk about rejecting reality either.

5. Who is the author? Where are/were they from? What is something interesting about the author?

It's not entirely clear where Miguel de Cervantes came from, but he did fight in many wars interestingly enough. And he was even captured by pirates once and sold into slavery. It wasn't until his family bought back his freedom. He wrote many plays, though they weren't received very well until he wrote Don Quixote, which spiraled him into popularity. He wrote the sequel to Don Quixote before he died.
