Answer:

h = 1296 feet

Explanation:

Given that,

The vertical position of the object is :

h(t)=-16t^2+160t+896 .....(1)

We need to find the highest height reached by the object. For highest height,

Put dh/dt = 0

(d)/(dt)(-16t^2+160t+896)=0\\\\-32t+160\\\\t=(160)/(32)\\\\t=5\ s

Put t = 5 in equation (1).

h(5)=-16(5)^2+160(5)+896\\\\=1296\ ft

So, the height reached by the object is 1296 feet.
