Your at a sandwich shop, they offer 3 types of breads, 4 types of meats, and 8 types of toppings. How many different combinations are there?

As this a sandwich shop it uses bread for all meats.

3 x 4 x 3 = 36

Because 3 x 4 = 12

As the toppings are only repeated 8x3 = 24 and alongside this we add the shorter combinations to this

B2 M1 repeat above with B2 to replace B1 above = 12
