Answer:

Explanation:

recall the two formulas

y = mx - b slope-intercept

y - y1 = m(x-x1) point-slope

with these we can get the equation . we also need to find the slope m

m = y2-y1 / x2-x1

m = 3 - (-1) / 2-4

m = 3 + 1 / -2

m = 4 / -2

m = -2

now with the slope known, plug in either point into the point-slope formula and work to the slope-intercept formula, I'll use (2,3) as the point to plug in.

y - 3 = -2(x-2)

y - 3 = -2x +4

y = -2x + 7

there.. that's your answer

y = -2x + 7
