A system of equations with no solution would show parallel lines. We just have make a equation that is parallel to the original equation.

The slope of 2x + 8y = 12 is
-(1)/(4), and it's y-intercept is
(3)/(2).

Since parallel lines have the same slope but not the same y-intercept, I would use
y=-(1)/(4)x+3.

Any equation that has -1/4 as the slope would work.

When graphed together, they show as a system with no solution.
