What body part did Miguel de Cervantes not have?

At the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, Cervantes lost his left hand and forearm and earned himself the nickname “el manco de Lepanto.” (It's a less sonorous epithet in English translation: The guy who came back from Lepanto with only one arm.)
