3x+2y=3

3x-2y=-9

since we have -2y and 2y we can just add the equations

6x=-6

x+0y=-1

x=-1

to solve x using elimination multiply the top equation by -1

-3x-2y= -3

3x-2y=-9

and add

0x-4y=-12

-4y=-12

y=3

and substitute x and y to double; check

3(-1)+2(3)=3

-3+6=3

3=3
