A paper company needs to ship paper to a large printing

business. The paper will be shipped in small boxes and large
boxes. The volume of each small box is 7 cubic feet and the
volume of each large box is 20 cubic feet. What would be the
total volume, in cubic feet, of 12 small boxes and 13 large
boxes? What would be the total volume, irf'cubic feet, of x
small boxes and y large boxes?

Explanation:

As for the first question, all we have to do is multiply the amount of both boxes by their sizes (7x12 + 13x20) and make sure to add them up to get 344.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the second answer because I don't exactly understand. My sincere apologies
