A triangular prism is 17 yards long and has a triangular face with a base of 12 yards and a height of 8 yards. The other two sides of the triangle are each 10 yards. What is the surface area of the triangular prism?

The surface are of a triangular prism is given as

A = bh+2ls+lb.................. Equation 1

Where A = Surface area of the triangular prism, b = base of of the triangular face, h = height of the triangular face, l = length of the triangular prism, s = length of one of the other sides of the triangle

Given: l = 17 yards, b = 12 yards, h = 8 yards, s = 10 yards.

Substitute these values into equation 1

A = [(12×8)+(2×17×10)+(17×12)]

A = 96+340+204

A = 640 Yard²
