Do the positive effects of tourism outweigh the negative effects? Why do you think so?

Answer:

Yes, I do, I used to live in a tourist town in Florida. Our infrastructure was surrounded by tourism. Most of the money would be from tourists coming to the beach to visit. There was a bit of litter but they were good about picking it up. All in all, I believe tourism is good for the city.

The only positive effect of tourism is profit. I do not think that outweighs the negative effects which include the destroying of the natural landscape and the ignorance towards the citizens that live there among other things. The only way it might be of the contrary is if said country is very poor and needs the profits, but even then it's sad that that is the go to since tourism is harmful to the native lives that inhabit the land.
