Question 1)

The expression:

11 more than one third of a number

Lets split this is up into parts to make it easier

"11", "more", "one third", "of a", "number"

Lets form the expression for each part,

"11" = 11

"more" = +

"one third" = 1/3

"of a" = *

"number" = n

That forms

11 + (1/3) * n or (1/3) * n + 11

Therefore the answer is D) (1/3)n + 11

Question 2)

Equation,

(6+5*3)/(2+1) = 11

Left Hand Side

=
(6 + 15)/(3) (multiplication is first then addition)

=
(21)/(3)

= 7

7
\\eq 11

So, Left Hand Side
\\eq Right Hand Side

Therefore the answer is false
