Given:

The graph of a circle.

To find:

The equation of the given circle.

Solution:

The standard form of a circle is

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2 ...(i)

Where, (h,k) is vertex and r is the radius.

From the given graph it is clear that the radius of the circle is 4 units and the center of the circle is (-2,2).

Putting
h=-2, k=2 and
r=4 in (i), we get

(x-(-2))^2+(y-(2))^2=(4)^2

(x+2)^2+(y-2)^2=16

Therefore, the equation of the circle is
(x+2)^2+(y-2)^2=16.
