The container will be made from steel (including its top and bottom). Suppose the total cost of steel will be $12,434.40. How much will the steel cost per square meter? Answer:

For oil container in the shape of a cylinder

radius (r) = 6 m

height (h) = 7 m

TSA of Cylinder

= 2πr ( r + h)

= 2 * 3.14 * 6 ( 6 + 7)

= 2 * 3.14 * 6 (13)

= 2 * 3.14 * 6 * 13

= 489.84 square meter

Now,

the total cost of the steel will be $18,613.92.

= 18613.92/489.84

= $38

Thus, The TSA of a cylinder is 489.84 square meter and $38 will the steel cost per square meter.
