x=5 and x=-5

Explanation:

1. first you would subtract 6 from both sides to set the equation = to zero.

2. The equation would then be x^2-25=0.

3. that is a difference of two squares polynomial. So when you factor it, it is (x+5)(x-5)=0

4. by the zero product property, the roots are 5 and -5.
