Alisa is painting a mural. She used ⅗ can of red paint and 6/7 can of blue paint. Ramon says Alisa used the same amount of red paint as blue paint. Is Ramon correct? Explain your reasoning.

Answer:

No

Explanation:

3/5 or 3 ÷ 5 = 0.60

6/7 or 6 ÷ 7 = about 0.8571

these two numbers/decimals are obviously not the same, making them inequivalent
