What's the slope and y-intercept of the equation 4x + 2y = 8?

m = 2; b = 4

m = –2; b = 4

m = –2; b = –4

M=-2; b=4

First we need to change the ax+by=c into y=mx+b
What we can do is take the 4x and put it on the other side and the re arrange the problem
(Like so)
2y=-4x+8
Now we need to divide by 2

2y=-4x+8
—. ——-
2. 2

Y=-2x+4

-2 is the slope (it is in the place if m)
And the y intercept is 4 (it is in the place of b)
