Answer:

Length of the longest side of the similar polygon = 15 cm

Explanation:

Sides of a polygon are 3 cm, 5 cm, 6 cm, 8 cm and 10 cm

Perimeter of the polygon = 3 + 5 + 6 + 8 + 10

= 32 cm

Perimeter of the similar polygon = 48 cm

Since, scale factor =
\frac{\text{Perimeter of the similar polygon}}{\text{Perimeter of the original polygon}}

=
(48)/(32)

= 1.5

Since, scale factor =
\frac{\text{Dimension of the similar polygon}}{\text{Dimension of the original polygon}}

1.5 =
\frac{\text{Dimension of the similar polygon}}{10}

Dimension of the similar polygon = 1.5 × 10

= 15 cm

Therefore, longest side of the similar polygon = 15 cm
