An independent variable is exactly what it sounds like. It is a variable that stands alone and isn't changed by the other variables you are trying to measure. For example, someone's age might be an independent variable.
The dependent variable is something u are measure ( for example temperature)
Not sure about the other!

an independent variable is something that does not depend on something else in an experiment. a dependent variable does depend on another thing in an experiment, i’m not too sure for comparative.
