Here, m = slope of the line

b = y-intercept

y-intercepts of the given equations are 3 and -1

For solution of the systems,


-(1)/(2)x+3=(1)/(2)x-1


(1)/(2)x+(1)/(2)x=3+1

x = 4

From equation (2),

y =
(1)/(2)(4)-1

y = 1

Point of intersection of these lines is (4, 1).
