With so many water around us why is there so little water for us to use?

The reason why there is so little water for us to use is beacuse of the water's salinity or known as the the term saltiness. However, ocean water has way too much salt, which makes it even harder for us to drink water. Therefore, much of the water that usually falls back to earth in which is one form or even another becomes runoff.
