Use elimination to solve for x and y:

5x + 4y = 23
x - 4y = - 5
O (3, 2)
O (2,3)
0 (7. – 3)

5x +4y=23
-5(x-4y=-5)

5x+4y=23
+(-5x+20y=25)

24y=48
y=2

Now plug y value into one of the equations and solve for x

X-4(2)=-5
X-8=-5
X=3

So the answer is (3,2)
