Explanation:

3x + 2y = 15 /× 2 = 6x + 4y = 30

10x - 4y =2

10x-6x +4y -4y = 30 - 2

4x = 28

x =7

3x + 2y = 15

3 × 7 + 2y = 15

21 + 2y= 15

2y = 15 -21

2y = - 6

y = -3

Explanation:

First multiply 3x+2y=15 by 2, and leave the value 10x-4y=2 alone. You would get 6x+4y=30.

6x+4y=30 Eliminate the +4y

10-4y=2 Eliminate the -4y

The answer would now be 16x=32 ----> 32÷16=2

So the value of x=2.

Not plug the value of x=2 into 3x+2y=15

3(2)+2y=15

6+2y=15

2y=15-6

2y=9

y=9/2= 4 1/2

So the values are:

x=2 y=9/2

Hope this helps!
