Here we are going to use the Pythagoras theorem to get the Hight of the Television


{42}^(2) - {32}^(2) = x

X Being the unknown side


{42}^(2) - {32}^(2) = 740 \\ x = √(740) = 27.2

So the height is 27.2in

The Are of the screen would be L x B

27.2 x 32 = 870.2 in^2

We will use Pythagoras for the last question also


{40}^(2) + {32}^(2) = 2624 \\ √(2624) = 51.23

She will need 51.23 in screen size
