Susie wanted grape jelly with her toast and noticed that the butter knifeshe was using to get the jelly out of the jar fit in the jar to create a righttriangle. If she knows that the knife is 29 cm long and the height of thejar is 21 cm, how much jelly does the jar hold?

29 = diameter

radius is half of the diameter which is; 14.5

21 = height

formula = A=2πrh+2πr2

2(14.5)(21)π + 2π(14.5)2

609π + 58π

667π = is how much jelly the jar holds.

You can simplify this even more by multiply 3.14 (simplified version of π) with 667 and get the product of 2,094.38 cubic centimeters.
