Answer: D)y= x - 16

y = -x + 120

Explanation:

Let the two numbers be x and y

such that if one number is x , the other number y

Let x be the number which is 16 more than another number , so that it can be expressed as

x= y+16 which can also be written as

y= x - 16

Also, if the two numbers have a sum of 120, then it can be represented as

x+y=120 or

y = -x + 120

Therefore system of equations to find the two numbers are

D)y= x - 16

y = -x + 120
