One side is 2x+8, and the other is .75x and since a rectangle has 4 sides, we get 4x+16 and 1.25x. We’re going to combine those and set them to 60 so,
5.25x+16= 60
-16 from both sides
5.25x = 44
44/5.25= 8.38
