We all know that recycling is good for the environment. In the United States, the first recycling mill was built in 1972. But did you know that musicians have been recycling for hundreds of years? Great classical music composers, such as Ludwig Van Beethoven and Antonin Dvorak, have been recycling the same notes year after year to create some of the greatest melodies ever! "Ode to Joy" (Beethoven) and "Going Home" (Dvorak) each use the five notes you have learned so far (G, A, B, C, and D).

Based on what you've read, which of the following could you infer?

Beethoven and Dvorak are great rock guitarists.
Classical music is boring to everyone.
Many classical melodies have something in common.
Antonin Dvorak was the head manager of the first recycling mill in the United States.

The answer is C. The others just don’t make sense. Rock music didn’t exist back then, not everyone believes it’s boring (the article didn’t even mention boredom), and just because they recycled notes doesn’t mean that they ran the recycling companies.
