The uprising controversy on Dr Suess’s books are related to the rise in anti-Asian hatred within the United States because the books contain stereotypical images of Asians, depicting them with bowl-cut hair, extremely slanted eyes, and holding a pair of chopsticks. The images are racist and will likely only hurt the asian community even more, adding another problem to anti-Asian hate in the US.
