Friction stops the soccer ball from moving. You’re applying a force towards a direction but friction still is present and it eventually stops the ball from going further. If there was no friction the ball would keep going on forever, hence newton’s first law of motion

Answer: Friction

Step-by-step explanation: It is Friction because force acts in the opposite direction to the motion of the ball slowing it and eventually stopping it.
