The kinetic energy K of a moving object varies jointly with its mass m and the square of the velocity v. If an object weighing 16 kilograms and moving with a velocity of 10 meters per second has a kinetic energy of 800 joules, find its kinetic energy when the velocity is 23 meters per second.

Answer:

KE = 4232 J

Explanation:

KE = 1/2 • mass • velocity^2

KE = 1/2 • 16kg • 23m/s ^2

KE = 8kg • 529 m/s

KE = 4232 J
