and the change from 3 to 5 is 2

y-y₁=m(x-x₁)

Plug in an x value and the corresponding y value into the formula. M is the slope

I'm using the point (5,4)

y-4=3(x-5)

y-4=3x-15

+4 +4

y=3x-11
