Eventually they hunt for something new. They can do this only if making a living is not a problem. If it is, then all attention must follow the economy. The 50s were not exactly a booming time, but employment was on the upswing. The 60s were a booming time especially in America and Canada. That meant that youth had the time to look at other alternatives.
